5th Air Division (Germany) : ウィキペディア英語版 | 5th Air Division (Germany) 5. Flieger Division〔For an explanation of the meaning of Luftwaffe unit designation see Luftwaffe Organisation〕 (5th Air Division) was one of the primary divisions of the German Luftwaffe in World War II. It was formed on 1 August 1938 in Braunschweig from the Höheren Fliegerkommandeur 7. The Division was redesignated 31. Flieger-Division on 1 November 1938 and was renamed to 5. Flieger Division again on 1 February 1939. The division was redesignated to V. Fliegerkorps on 11 October 1939 and reformed again on 19 December 1944. ==Commanding officers==
